About

Approach & Experience

My role as a counselor is strongly influenced by my experience as a husband, father of two wonderful children, a Christian, and a Licensed Professional Counselor. My approach is practical, sincere, and gentle, but challenging. I engage clients in collaborative guidance, examining together means of accessing greater contentment.

My career has been shaped by the many positions I have held within the counseling field, Rehabilitation Counseling, school counseling, and child & young adult counseling. I have worked with children and adults who have experienced trauma, adults transitioning to work after a disability, and individuals with depression, anxiety, and other severe emotional disorders. This diverse experience has informed my professional development and style allowing me to be flexible and intentional with my therapeutic style and strategy.

As someone passionate about providing support during difficult times, I help individuals struggling with relationships, mental health issues, stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, guilt, shame, and addiction. My style is eclectic and research oriented. I believe in finding the right approach for each client, emphasizing understanding patterns, and monitoring progress.

Counseling will help you heal and feel whole. I specialize in helping people overcome mental health barriers, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. I have significant experience working with clients living with disabilities. I work with a non-profit (HomeBase Outreach) to help foster families and probationary youth to heal in a positive and constructive way, knowing that there is something more.  If you are interested in helping in this way check out the link below.
